About Me

I knew for years that I was meant to write, but with little writing skill, it was apparent I wasn't going to write the next big Bestseller.  When I started blogging many years ago, I was so shy, I only allowed my special friends to read it. Not even my family read my blog. But since having my daughter, I have decided to let people read what I have to say, even though I still have no writing skills.

It has been a long journey for me to find this confident person inside of me. I used to think of her as Skinny Chick. That if I could just shed Fat chick, Skinny Chick would emerge and be able to do anything. What I realized is that Fat Chick and Skinny Chick didn't really exist. Just Leanne existed. And thanks to Leanne shedding a really bad marriage and a really downer of a husband, the real Leanne emerged, like a butterfly.

I have not gotten here on my own. I had one amazing best friend that has helped me more than she realizes. She helped me find myself by just being there and loving and supporting me, showing me the positive side of life and the humor that lies there. She is so full of life and love. She has shown me that people are good with her insane way of loving others. 

That is what I hope I can do for others. Help them be the people they were meant to be, lift someone's spirits and show them there is another way to look at this world, it isn't all bad, there is some beauty here that we must seek out to find.

I also have to thank my awesome husband, who waited for me. He is my rock. Even if he thinks I wear the pants in the relationship, without him, I would not be able to reach so high.
